About us

Sustainability professionals are working on some of the most consequential challenges of our time — helping businesses understand their impact, meet their obligations, and make meaningful changes for climate, nature, and communities.

At Annwn, we're building tools to help them do that work better. We use the most current thinking in AI to build reliable, purposeful technology for sustainability professionals — not generic tools repurposed for the job, but systems designed around how this work actually gets done. The AI landscape moves fast, and knowing what to use, how to trust it, and how to get real value from it beyond a simple chatbot is genuinely hard. We're doing that thinking so sustainability professionals don't have to — giving them intelligent, structured tooling that augments their expertise, keeps them in control, and helps them deliver better outcomes for their clients and organisations.

We're human-centric by design — the professional's judgement, expertise, and relationships remain at the centre of everything. Technology serves the work, not the other way around.

We believe the best outcomes for business and the world come from empowering the people already doing the hard work — not replacing them.

The role

We're hiring one of our first Sustainability Customer Managers — a role designed for someone who cares deeply about sustainability and wants to help shape how it gets done inside large organisations.

You'll work hands-on with sustainability professionals, earning their trust, understanding their pressures, and making sure Annwn genuinely delivers for them — in reporting cycles, in disclosure processes, in the day-to-day complexity of getting sustainability embedded across a business.

Customer delight is at the heart of this role. You'll be the person our customers turn to when they need guidance, reassurance, or a thought partner on a hard problem. That means being a trusted advisor first — someone who understands sustainability deeply enough to add real value beyond the product, and who can help customers see how better tools can strengthen, not undermine, the case for sustainability inside their organisations. Adoption only sticks when people feel supported, see genuine value, and trust the people behind it.

You'll also be our eyes and ears in the field. The patterns you spot across customer engagements — what's working, what isn't, where the profession is underserved — are invaluable to how we build. Feeding that insight back to the product and engineering team is an important part of the role, but it's the outcome of doing the customer work brilliantly, not the primary measure of success.

You'll work across customer success, product development, sales, and knowledge-building — a broad remit that reflects where we are as an early-stage company, and the importance we place on getting this right.

What you'll do

  • Be a trusted point of contact for sustainability professionals navigating their complex sustainability challenges using Annwn
  • Own the success of your customer relationships from onboarding through to lasting outcomes
  • Feed practical, on-the-ground insight back into product development — helping us build tools that reflect how this work actually gets done
  • Support new business conversations and help communicate the value of Annwn to prospective customers
  • Build and curate Annwn's corpus of sustainability knowledge across climate, water, nature, and social themes
  • Run and support customer panels, development partner meetings, and community engagement

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in sustainability or ESG, gained in-house as part of a corporate sustainability team — you understand how this work actually gets done inside large organisations
  • Solid working knowledge of sustainability frameworks and disclosure standards — CDP, TCFD, CSRD, GHG reporting, or similar
  • A genuine commitment to the purpose — you care about climate, nature, people, and communities, and that shows in how you work
  • Strong analytical and communication skills — you can translate complex sustainability requirements into clear, actionable guidance
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you'll be customer-facing from day one
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and pace; this is an early-stage company and the role will evolve

Highly desirable

  • Direct ownership of disclosure or reporting processes — CDP, CSRD, TCFD, or similar
  • Experience within large or complex enterprise environments where sustainability sits across multiple functions
  • Familiarity with sustainability data tools or platforms used in-house
  • Experience working alongside product or development teams, contributing to tool-building or process design
  • Comfortable using AI tools as part of day-to-day delivery — with an appetite to go deeper

Why join us

  • Join a team that puts sustainability professionals at the centre of everything we build
  • Shape the product from the inside, with direct influence on early decisions
  • Be part of a passionate, mission-driven team building something genuinely new
  • A role that grows with you — and with the company

Logistics

  • Base salary: £50K – £60K
  • Employment type: Permanent, full-time
  • Location: London, on-site
  • Reporting to: Founder / CRO
  • Visa sponsorship: Not available
